About Me

I’m a New Zealand-trained and practicing teacher with many years of experience teaching and tutoring Mathematics, English, and Science. I’ve supported students from junior to senior high school levels across both the New Zealand Curriculum (NCEA) and the Cambridge system.

I believe that every student has the ability to become a lifelong learner. This begins with creating a safe, supportive learning environment where students feel confident enough to take risks, ask questions, and explore new ideas. My teaching is student centred and I aim to guide each learner at their own pace while helping them build the confidence and skills to take ownership of their learning.

Strong relationships are key to this process. I aim to build trust and motivation through encouragement, celebrating progress, and tailoring my approach to meet each student’s individual needs and learning style.

Alongside my own tutoring, I lead a small team of experienced, practicing teachers here in New Zealand. Together, we offer online tutoring in Mathematics, English, Science, French, ICAS preparation, and TESOL. Custom tailored for learners of any age.

We use Google Meet and current, curriculum-aligned resources to provide high-quality, accessible support from the comfort of your own home. Typically a 1 on 1 session or a small group sessions up to 3 students at a time is offered.

Classes Offered

Mathematics

• Core Mathematics or Problem Solving skills for any year levels.

• Based on the New Zealand Curriculum or Cambridge depending on your needs.

• Either or both of those classes would be a great help in expanding their Mathematical capabilities.

• Prepping for the Year 10 Numeracy Assessment.

Science

• Junior General Science curriculum

• Year 9 and 10 Science prep for entering NCEA levels

• Chemistry/Biology/Physics/Earth and Space Sciences specialist teachers are also available for students.

English

• Reading, Writing and Speech skills classes.

• We are supporting students of all year levels whether they are learning to comprehend simple texts to learning to write their first academic essays.

• Prepping for Year 10 Literacy Reading and Writing Assessment.

ICAS

Covering all levels of Mathematics, English, Science, Digital Technologies and Writing ICAS test needs. If your child is wanting to sit one of these tests in the near future then let us prepare them for success.

TESOL
