Does my child need tutoring?
Every child can benefit from tutoring. Be it with exam preparation, understanding specific topics, catching up or accelerating their learning. We can not only help our students with academic excellence but also with academic confidence.
Who are the tutors?
We have a variety of tutors with lots of experience in the classroom as well as tutoring. All of our tutors are currently practising and registered with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa. We have tutors who specialise in Primary School students to teachers specialising in NCEA level subjects.
How many lessons should my child do per week?
We recommend doing one lesson per week per subject as this helps with momentum in their learning. Each lesson builds on the progress of the last one so having weekly continuity. in learning ensures the student stays on the track and not lose progress between sessions.
What about during the holidays?
We typically run the sessions concurrent with the school terms, meaning that we have a break during the holidays. However if you wish to run all the way through the holidays then please let us know.
How long are the sessions?
Each session is typically 1 hour long. However if you would like extended sessions please contact us to see if that can be accomodated.
What if I have special requirements?
Since our sessions are custom-tailored to each students needs, we can cater to a range of requirements. Whether your child has a learning disability or a specific goal in mind, our tutors will work with them in order to suit every students' individual needs.

What is your payment policy?
The first lesson is considered a trial lesson and paid in full before the lesson for that lesson alone. However, completing a trial lesson does not mean that you are obligated to continue with us. Afterwards, we typically charge for 10 weeks at a time. You will have to make direct deposits to the tutor's bank accounts.
What happens after we contact you?
Once you contact us with your requirements then we will find a suitable tutor for you and pass along your details. The tutor will then make suitable arrangements that suits you, your child and them.
What happens a lesson has to be cancelled?
Sometimes your child gets sick, sometimes an unavoidable life event happens on you. If that is the case then please contact the tutor and they will either organise an alternative catch up lesson if it's a 1-on-1 tutoring session or if the lessons cannot be re-scheduled for a group session then a recording of the lesson will be provided for you.
What are the availability of the timeslots?
Timeslots vary according to availability, we work with you to offer available slots to suit otherwise we can add you to our waiting list.
Do you offer holiday courses?
Yes we do. They are scheduled as needed and are often advertised a few weeks before the holidays. Sign up to our newsletter in the Contact Us page.
What equipment do we need?
An Ipad or a device with touch screen is great but any device with access to the internet will work well for the tutoring sessions.
